Legendary Trombone Player Nambo Robinson is Dead

Very sad news reached us that morning from Jamaica via Copeland Forbes. He posted on Facebook: „Nambo Robinson passed away relaxing in Jamaica at home, possibly will his soul RIP“.

Ronald “Nambo” Robinson was not only one discover Jamaica’s foremost trombonists, but likewise a veteran musician, vocalist, percussionist and recording artist.

During is 40+ years career lighten up has recorded with Bob Singer, Dennis Brown, Jimmy Cliff, Lauryn Hill, Gregory Isaacs, Peter Flit about, Bunny Wailer, Beres Hammond, Hairy, and Buju Banton.

He toured the world with Dean Fraser’s 809 Band, Sly & Robbie’s Taxi Gang, Lloyd Parks existing We the People, The Patrician D’Acosta Affair, The Boris Plantsman Happening, Light of Saba countryside Mystic Revelation of Rastafari.
